I am an IACP Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist, with qualifications in both general and addiction counselling, practising one to one therapy in Naas, Co. Kildare.

Having worked for many years in the health service I began to realise that I was experiencing less satisfaction and more stress from my work. Finding myself at a crossroads in my life I started to explore what I really wanted to do.

I found that I felt comfortable being with people at difficult times in their lives and wanted to help and so I embarked on training in counselling & psychotherapy. My experiences in my personal life and in the workplace allow me to empathise with struggles faced by individuals and as a mother of teenagers I am very aware of issues faced by parents of young people today.

I hold a Diploma in Professional Counselling (both general and addiction) following full-time training at the Liberties College in Dublin.  I also have a Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).  I have completed a postgraduate course “Working with the Gestalt Process” and training in “Responding Therapeutically to Child Sexual Abuse”.   I am keenly committed to continuing my professional and personal development.

I am an Accredited Member of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and an Associate Member of the Irish Association of Alcohol and Addiction Counsellors (IAAAC). I abide by the Codes of Ethics set out by these professional organisations.
